For real. I don't think it takes slash goggles to read that scene as gay. I think it takes a complete blindfold of denial to read it otherwise.

I am incapable of seeing their relationship as anything other than romantic. Not sure if it's the slash goggles or not, but I know both times I saw the film I was wondering if everyone else was seeing the sad love story of Charles and Erik too. Unfortunately no one screamed out "Now kiss" during the plane scene, so I guess we'll never know.
