ok well basically it's just a couple of minutes of satire. "Bronies are the worst, because obviously nobody ever likes things outside of their target demographic!" "Bronies are the worst because they draw porn of ponies, and adult women never draw porn of characters in shows targeted towards young boys! (accompanied by PG-13 drawings of slash from various shonen animes and other such things)" and so forth.

(Alternatively, bronies could stop getting defensive about brony bashing, but that's like asking SPN fans to stop slashing Dean/Castiel.)

Okay, I don't care about bronies (I don't watch MLP and all that) but really? "How dare a group of people get defensive because people are bashing them. HOW DARE THEY! They need to just lay there and take the abuse."

Their reactions sure ain't helping their casue tho.

It just gives people more reason bash them.

Plus, you know, the internet is full of assholes.

As a group, they've sort of become amusing to make fun of, and the more extreme their reactions become, the more ridiculous and humorous they are. And so the cycle continues.

The more defensive they get, the more the sharks will circle and bite.

I get the feeling the most defensive are either children and/or mentally handicapped. Neither of those things are things you should be proud about fighting constantly.

i mean, 'bronies' as distinct from 'people who like my little pony', sure. but people have been trying to make the case that bronies are largely disliked for dumb reasons pretty much since the beginning of bronies, and the case has never been helped by the tendency of a lot of bronies to be fucking awful. and in a way that's markedly distinct from fandom at large, too - I can't think of any other fandom that seems so proud of its awful elements, that think that those elements MEAN SOMETHING and are some kind of life-changing or society-changing novelty, that so immediately turned the fandom and especially the awful elements of it into a badge of pride and a badge of all-encompassing identity. that thinks that they're doing something really good and awesome by making porn of ponies.

fuck those people. not going to get worked up about how unfair it all is to them or whatever. sorry if you like MLP and are cool, or if your friend likes MLP and is cool, or whatever. I know there are cool people who are into MLP and probably even some who identify as bronies, but it really does seem to me that the larger brony movement as a whole is just fucking bad.
