I agree with this so much it's unreal.

I once saw a post about how even if you hate a female character for legit reasons you should keep it to yourself a)because you don't know it's legit and b)so you don't add to negativity surrounding female characters in fandom. Don't post ur opinions cuz problematic.

Like... Why should I care?

I assume "you don't know it's legit" means "it's internalized misogyny," to which I long ago concluded that if internalized misogyny is the real subconscious reason I hate some female character... yeah, I don't care. If everyone has internalized misogyny anyway, I'll gladly let mine channel into hating women who aren't real.

God forbid a female character just be horribly written and I logically dislike her for it. And that IS logical by the way. She isn't real, her writing is ALL SHE IS.

Horribly written = Horrible character

And in my heart of hearts I know that the dislike I have for certain female characters will never even hold a candle to the blistering fucking hatred I have for certain male characters, so... yeah.
