GBM is unredeemably awful and most of the chefs on it are towering egos on legs or nonentities who slipped in because a region didn't have enough decent contenders. I hate-watched the entire season. But still, I kinda liked Emily. She reminded me of my stepmother.

I hated the theme of this series so much. Seemed crass rather than sensitive, and everyone made the same kinds of things which was hella boring. I agree about the chefs, although the ego-puncturing and bitching is part of the fun, no?

But still, lovely lovely Emily... *sigh*

It's like, all the gimicky tacky shit they were coming up with for the dishes? A fish dish called Normandy Beach which REACREATED THE SMOKE ON THE BEACHES? Jesus people you're not trying to give the veterans PTSD at the table!

Emily seemed genuinely sweet and talented though. I loved her.
