Mostly starting one to ask a question. Does anyone else get really, really horny when they are sick? I have the flu and a fever right now, and all I've been able to think about all day has been sex. It is driving me a little crazy, to be honest. Hormones are well and good, but not when they refuse to be satisfied.

I haven't had that issues, but it doesn't sound particularly weird to me.

It isn't weird that it happens every time I'm sick?

Not necessarily? Being sick might just affect your sensory/nervous system in ways that enhance or provoke horniness. It seems like a pretty plausible thing, though I Am Not A Doctor.

I almost always sneeze a little when I'm aroused. Sometimes a lot. But I also sneeze for other reasons.

Sickness doesn't cause it, but it doesn't rule it out either. Nor does pain. I can be sufferi-ing yet still horny.

I guess I just find it odd that it happens every time I'm sick (at least with a cold/flu-like/sinus infection thing), particularly if I have a fever.

It might be the fever, if your body's warmed up it's not outside the realm of possibility that your whole body's warmed up.

Now that you mention it... I had a really, really bad cold about 5 years ago and felt weirdly horny during part of it. Then there was the time since then when I was recovering from an eye injury and was not exactly horny, but feeling very cuddly, probably due to being in a lot of pain and wanting comfort. I don't get sick or hurt often enough to see a pattern, though.

I'm 21 and I've never had a regular monthly menstruation cycle. It just sort of comes randomly every couple of months. Sometimes it'll come two months in a row, but it's more likely every two or three months. My doctor said it's normal and not a problem as long as I still get it at least every few months.
I'm not really looking for advice or anything, just wanted to get this off my chest. It's kind of annoying because I still get a lot of the pms moodiness, but then nothing comes of it. Last had my period like early April.

I was the same way for almost 10 years until I went on hormonal birth control.

Now I'm older and should probably get a more permanent form of b/c, but part of me just doesn't want to go off the hormones because I'm worried about going back to those Randomly Appearing Whenever I Travel Periods. I don't know if that's actually what would happen, though.

Have you been tested for PCOS? It took me 3 different doctors until I got tested for it and I was full of cysts. Only symptom I had was the irregular period thing.

Same. I was like that too until my doctor put me on birth control (and tested for POCS like the above anon said, which I didn't have.)

I'm the same way (at 31), but I don't really find it bothersome. I could probably get it regular by going on some birth control, but I figure why monkey around with my hormones when I'm not doing anything that necessitates birth control.

I miss not getting my period every month but if the cause is PCOS you need to treat it. You don't have to take birth control - metformin is an alternative.

Thirding the "get tested for PCOS" reccomendation. I was like that too (but when they did come, they'd be extremely severe) and it turned out to be that. I'm on hormonal birth control now and everything's just dandy (and you can pick when your cycles start so now I never have my period on the weekends - huzzah!).

I usually do when I've got the flu or a cold, yeah. Being sick makes my whole body feel more sensitive, too (I'm not sure if that's the source or just a contribution to the horniness). I just chalk it up to system response.

I crave orgasms when I'm hung over. It's not even being horny, quite, I just... I wake up, note that I'm hung over, have some water, have an orgasm (solo good, sleepy lazy sex with whomever I'm hung over next to better), go back to sleep for an hour or two. Repeat as necessary. When I wake up NOT hung over: breakfast!

The only time I ever feel like masturbating (or doing anything sexual, really) is around my period. Other than that I have basically no sex drive whatsoever.

Nope. I get horny when I'm bored, lonely, depressed, but not overly when I'm sick.
