OMG I love Speed Grapher! I watched it back in college and was blown away by it. It was so different from everything else I was watching and I really liked the chemistry between the leads in that he was super protective of her and couldn't stand what they were doing to her.

Now I feel like I should rewatch it but yeah, I can see why it would be one of those shows that's hard to recommend to someone (yet I believe someone had given it to me otherwise I would have probably missed it)

Like many of the random-ass things I watch, Speed Grapher can be blamed entirely on Buffy crossover fanfiction. And yeah, the chemistry between the two leads is really interesting in that the guy is very invested in trying to save the girl, but at the same time he also realizes that she really, really needs to get away from everything currently in her life (including him). It's a cool dynamic.
