I'm original anon and I agree completely. I'm not in fandom to talk about BNFs or to develop weird politics and drama. I might remember a fan's name if I like their fanfics/art/whatever, but I'm in it for the series, not the people.

(and I've been, apparently, a BNF before. I didn't know what it meant when people started calling me that. I just really loved the series so was always producing fanworks, starting and engaging in discussions, etc. I was a little freaked out when I found out what it meant, like I seemed even more obsessed than the average fan)
