These are both pretty bad. (Though I didn't mind it when House did the 'long lost family member' thing mostly because it was mentioned once early in the series, then the character was brought back later. We never saw him, but it wasn't a huge deal and we got to learn a little more about Wilson.)

Also people coming back from the dead over and over.

Or fake deaths. I love the MCU, but can you please stop having every other character fake their death?

I would however accept a Frigga fake death, but she's a lady! Can't have her coming back from the dead. :|

I would be okay with this. (I adore Frigga and I'd like if she could play a bigger part in one of the other films.)

Especially if they brought her back and she immediately realized Loki was disguised as Odin and kicked his ass. At this point someone should.

Yeah I was hoping we'd get more of her, then we did and she died. I was most annoyed.

She would see through it in an instant and kick his ass into his room and like ground him for 100 years, or until he learned how to not be a selfish shit-head.

I think he would be locked up for a lot longer than 100 years, if that were the case. She totes would, though. I want it to happen.

(No, it's alright! Most people that want to see it probably have by now, or have already been spoiled at any rate. I try to warn but sometimes I forget as well. Once I forgot to warn about Merlin spoilers and someone got upset with me so I try to be careful about them.)

Ha, true. We got to see her do cool things and the inside of my head was screaming 'WARNING! WARNING!' at me the entire time. It's kind of sad that it was so predictable.

Haha, I did almost amend my post with something along the lines of 'but lets face it this will never happen'. I'm not even sure I could put a time-scale on it tbh, start with forever and decrease if needed.

Same, she could rule Asgard with an iron fist. Or, get Odin out from wherever Loki shoved him, that works too.

(Hell I forget when it's still relevant a lot of the time, I just kind of forget that I'm not always months behind other people in fandom these days. Especially with the Marvel movies as I get them a week before the States. But I always like that you warn for it.)

I kind of think Loki killed Odin, tbh. Hopkins doesn't want to come back at any rate, so unless they recast him or explain away Loki sending him off somewhere (but never actually show him) that would be the easiest route to go. It wouldn't even surprise me, though it would sadden me because then there would be absolutely no realistic way Thor and Loki could ever reconnect.

(It can be hard! Especially since...well, when do you stop warning for spoilers? There's no set time period, so you just have to wing it. Most people are pretty chill about spoilers I think (and there IS a warning on the comm), but I still don't want to ruin anything for someone.

It was going around for a bit that Loki had killed Odin but the writers actually said that wasn't true, but they could go back on it if they couldn't get Hopkins back. Also to me I get the feeling that Loki would want to gloat at Odin where he currently is, not just outright kill him but idk, we'll have to see what happens with that. (Well at least they're reconnecting in the comics? In a manner of speaking anyway.)

(Is five years later a good time? IDK! Yeah when it's been out for a couple of months, and with movies I go with if it's on DvD spoiler warnings are probably not needed anymore.)

Ah, I didn't see the bit where the writers said that wasn't true. (Just that, ah, what was it...something like, "We have an idea of what we're going to do with Loki and if Odin is still with us or not." Which...well, doesn't even necessarily mean dead, especially in this universe, but idk. I feel like Loki gloating would make sense, I'm just not sure how they would do that unless they brought Hopkins back. I can't imagine them recasting him, but hey...Marvel hasn't had any issue recasting actors before so maybe they will.)

(Five years later is wayyyyyyyyy past the point where I feel it's okay to stop warning, haha. I think the DVD thing makes sense.)
