They're collecting money to make a movie about how oppressed they are because other OUAT fans don't accept that their pairing (two cis-gendered women who in canon have both been repeatedly shown to be attracted to cis-men and not each other) are canon.

Yeah.

NAYRT but.....wow. I'd heard the SwanQueen fandom was....interesting, but I didn't realize it was that....interesting. :/ (I'm finding myself at a loss for appropriate adjectives.)

where?

(Anonymous) 2014-06-12 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
i love how you had to throw in that they were all cis

Sorry. I was going to conclude that with "are canon queer"(making their cis status relevant (I think- gender politics aren't one of my areas of expertise)) but I lost my train of thought.

Haha, oh wow.

They only raised a bit over three thousand dollars though. Nowhere near their goal of twenty five grand, so it won't be made. I doubt it would have been even if they had. They used indiegogo so it all went to their pockets.

Compare that to the fact that Reading Rainbow went on Kickstarter to revive the show and that it got $3.5 million in it's first 24 hours...

Kind of warms my heart to know where more people are placing their priorities.

I'm getting Harmonian flashbacks with the cries of oppression and they know exactly how the slaves feel.
