AYRT fair enough. I can see that. Personally I liked that he was always hovering on the edge of outright insubordination. Different strokes and all that. Thanks for answering. :)

I liked it in the early episodes because he was called on it. Later, though, the show made it out as if he was always right and that is when I started disliking him. I'm all for characters doing bad things if they're called on it. It is when what they do is portrayed as the right thing or okay because it ends up bringing good results that I dislike them.

AYRT I confess that I've developed blinkers for that sort of poor writing. :/ I can absolutely see where you're coming from though. It always smacks of the writers Gary Stu-ing it to me.

Except these writers hated Sheppard. So I never got any Gary-Stu vibe from him. Other than perhaps not dying a lot.
