Ehhhh... I think you're misreading OP's point. Traditional sporking places one in the position of the robots on MST3K: just a snarky bastard taking some cheap shots for one's own entertainment, and fuck it, we're all having a good time here. SJ-based sporking, however, places one in a position of MORAL SUPERIORITY. You don't see how that will cause more trouble, even factoring out the craziness that is Tumblr SJW culture?

i do. i guess what matters is whether you embrace the nastiness or not. at least the people who are just in it for the snark don't pretend to be doing anything else.

Yeah, that's kind of the distinction I'm getting at. If you're in it for the snark and you know you're in it for the snark, that's one thing. If you think your snark makes you a Better Human Being, your capacity for evil increases. I suspect we're largely on the same page there.
