I wonder what people are saying about the US not getting involved...I mean, US is damned if they do, damned if they don't. If they don't help, people are going to be like, "HOW DARE YOU NOT HELP THEM! YOU ARE THE MOST POWERFUL* COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHY CAN'T YOU HELP USSSS!!!!" If they do help, people will say they are pushing their power where it isn't wanted/colonizing/white saviors/etc.

My belief is that we should just wash our hands of the whole thing and let it play itself out. The urge to keep getting involved is what keeps fucking things up.

We need to stop helping the world, period. We AREN'T the most powerful country anymore. We're so damn hated, too. Fuck the rest of the world. We have crumbling hundred+ old roads/bridges, our economy is in shambles, there is a huge job shortage. We need to focus our money HERE. Why keep helping other countries when all we do is get shit on? Let the rest of the west help them.

Yeah that super low tax, militaristic-interventionist thing really is not working out well, it is almost like the Republican-Tea Party doctrine is just completely full of shit. Maybe trying to raise taxes (for fuck's sake someone just take Norquist behind the woodshed and give him the Old Yeller treatment), spend on infrastructure and be more collaborative internationally would work a lot better.
