I feel like I already read about this in 2006 when I read The End of Iraq for my Iraq Politics and Society course. As a American, I understand how badly we fucked things up. On the other hand, I don't want us to go back because our government AND our society refuses to learn anything about that area. If we go back, the collision of government ineptitude and fervent(ly undercontemplated) public outcry will be literally and figureatively explosive.

(Goddamn, I used a ton of adverbs there. Fuck it.)
