Nothing Nicolas Cage touches works out well.

I know, but it is the entertaining kind of crazy that he brings to everything that just sells it for me. Any actor can make a bomb, but only Cage can make a movie so bad it bends the laws of physics in its awfulness.

What. WHAT. Nicolas Cage is a great actor and I will not have you speak about him that way.

Seriously, though, I actually do think he's a good actor. But even if you don't think so, he's been in a hell of a lot of good and/or entertaining and/or successful movies. He's an Oscar-winning actor. You may not find his willingness to commit absolutely to terrible action movie bombs endearing or like his extreme emotiveness, but he's not the touch of doom.

I mean, Bad Lieutenant Port of Call New Orleans? That's a great movie. And no one else could have played Cage's part the way Cage played it.
