I'm a hopeless romantic (in other words, a Zutara shipper). And its quite arguable they have a Big Sister/Little Brother relationship. Just because Aang has feelings for Katara doesn't mean its mutual.

Not really. They've kissed twice, both Katara has never protested to. She even suggested the first kiss they ever shared. Although her feelings aren't as clear as Aang's, I think it's safe to say she feels something more than friendship/big sister love/whatever for him.

Either way, I'm not sure why it matters. Kataang is canon. You can't argue that. Whether it's romantic love or puppy love or platonic love, they've got something going on. Zutara isn't. Maybe it will be, randomly, but now it isn't. But, of course, you can still love and ship it regardless of canon, right? I just hate when people tell me Zutara is canon or that Kataang isn't. Ya know?
