I agree. I'm in the middle of the second season and it just makes me cringe at the katara/aang pairing. =( It's a little cuter in Slayers only because he's part golem (right?), and it's not as believable because they're not drawn in a semi-realistic style as Avatar is.
I just really don't like that pairing. =( Or I'd like it if Aang was at least her age...no 12. Bleh.

It's easy to forget he is twelve at times.

But as guilty as I am to admit it, when Katara and Zuko were trapped in the Crystal Cave, I thought what a great lemon that scene would be. XD;

Oops, I meant to say 'not 12' heh.

I agree. He does seem to be wiser than his physical (and mental) age at times but since it's a kids show (and some adults are watching it) then my expectations for the show are more than what it actually is or will be, sadly. =)

I can understand his personality and their characters but I just wish he'd mature a bit more....Of course I haven't seen the third season yet...so we'll see. =)

Ooo I haven't seen that episode yet. Something to look forward to. =)

I immediately wanted to ship Katara/Zuko in the Water Scroll episode.It was a cute scene to me. =) Especially when he put the necklace around her neck.

I got used to Aang being immature, but it started to bug me when he did stupid things like going to save Katara instead of learning to control the Avatar State. His priorities are absolutely fuxed.

It's not like they beat and rape her anyways. They throw her ina comfy little cave to sit there for, what, a couple hours? And she even had someone to talk to.

Yeah Aang. That couldn't wait an extra hour.

I just watched that episode and it irked me a bit. I agree. Let them hang out and get to know one another.
What annoyed me the most was Katara's ignorance in that scene.

And as for Aang, I guess it proves again his mental age state is around 12. It's not a bad thing but...it is a kids show so I can see that they want to pump up the action and drama. And you know in the end he'll master it anyways somehow. =)
