I've never actually seen/read the series. And while I do like Chobits, I also know that it's definitely not the best thing ever.

It's exactly the same as Chobits in the What If? sense.

Boy meets alien, they fall in love, awkward romance and crazy love triangles.

Only DearS is a lot more complex later on; the animation is a lot more detailed, and the story has a lot of moral undertones.

The main character's spanish teacher is an exaggerated exhibitionist (she shows up to class wearing almost nothing, and gropes Ren publicly).

They make frequent jokes about how on earth she keeps her job.

Her speeches are hilarious-- especially one point where she tells his sister she saw "a bunch of them running off to have an orgy" by which she is referring to Takeya's friends having a study group.

I'm a terrible person because I love Bleach but haven't watched it since halfway through the fillers. (roughly 110 episodes in). I started collecting the mangas but I'm only up to 11 now xD;

Oh Bleach. I stopped watching the anime after the fillers just because I got bored. I still read the manga, though.

Bleach is a whole other level of special, though. XD;

My favourite character in the whole series- the nameless Arrancar -has been downplayed so much that Ichigo isn't even capable of summoning him for more than a few seconds now.

And to me, that's lame. (I love Hollow!Ichigo for being an aimless psychopath. He's got no character development or goal to accomplish; he just wants to fuck up everyone's shit.)

I have a tendency to roleplay characters that most people wouldn't think of.

I RP Kon too xD; He recently acquired a gigai (konpakutastic), which is just icons of some character from Zombie Powder.
