Actually, after I posted the secret, I've been thinking Mohinder/Maya might be nice. (Except... is she awesome enough? Not sure. But she's lovable!) Meh, this probably gives me away.

However, I am intrigued by your thoughts of alternative universes and various nice Mo-shipping that occurs there, and support you fully.

Hey, I think Maya is pretty damn cute. Dumb! But cute. She and Mohinder are equally gullible, at least, so they'll have something to talk about. Hah!

. . . Now please excuse me, I have ridiculous AUs to think up.

You know, like the one where Claire has her memory erased post-Bennetshooting and forgets all about her daddy and still goes after the company.

And the one where Matt is a PI and Mohinder has a whole lot of trouble what with people around him dying all the time and, you know, rifling through his things and trying to molest him and whatnot.

And the one where Alejandro goes all toxic on Sylar because, if Maya can go one way or the other there's no reason her brother can't, too.

And the one where Bennet isn't the first person Mohinder has shot in the face.

In the over-all plot of volume one and two, I think Maya is basically Mohinder without a penis. Their personalities are fairly different, obviously, but the role they play and the places they are/were in. They need to get together and have hot sex to piss Sylar off.

And I am INTRIGUED by your AUs, INTRIGUED. Especially this one:

Alejandro deserved character development and I was secretly hoping against hope he'd get to NYC so I could get some Al/Mo action. (See? Shipping him with everyone he meets and a whole bunch he doesn't!)

(Nothing wrong with vast amounts of shipping. I'm all for people who admit that half the ships they are all about porning don't necessarily make sense. THEY DON'T NEED TO! HAH.)

Man. Alejandro could be awesome.

. . . Aaaaand now I'm wondering what would be different if Maya were the one that got nixed by Sylar and Alejandro had made it, instead.

Let's see, if Alejandro had been the one with the power to poison ... I'm imagining the picnic scene with Alejandro and cracking hard. I mean, harder than I cracked up over that scene originally. But Alejandro is sensible and hates Sylar, so he'd probably have killed him off in secret after they entered the US. Then we'd have gotten twins/Mohinder. I can't object.

(I like Sylar. Honest, I do.)
