28. I don't ship Kataang at all, it's not my cup of tea and I much prefer them as friends. She acts too much like his mommy. It's weird.

Zel and Amelia, though? My first OTP and Slayers was my first anime. Amelia is somewhere around 16 or 17 in Try (I think, I haven't read up on the series in ages) and Zel is only a few years older. And if you want to complain about Zel/Amelia being squicky because of the age gap, look at Lina and Gourry. There is an even bigger age gap between the two of them. Talk about your double standards. Amelia has also grown up a lot from her first appearance in the series -- look at the character growth between the first season and Next alone. (By the time Try came around, it seemed like all that lovely character growth had been thrown out, but sometimes I like to forget Try existed in the first place.) Whether or not you want to acknowledge Zel/Amelia as canon is your own deal. I seem to remember Kanzaka saying in an interview that Amelia was brought in as a potential love interest for Zelgadis after fans were pairing Lina up with him instead of Gourry, who was always supposed to be her intended love interest from the start.

(I also disagree that Amelia would annoy Zel. By the end of the show they seem to be at least close friends. Why else would he keep her bracelet?)

I love Slayers too but sadly I wasn't able to see many episodes of it. =( I remember drawing a lot of Slayers influenced anime characters though. =) It's difficult to find subbed Slayers online and I don't think it's in stores anywhere anymore.
