Same. Glad I'm not the only one giving them so much thought, ha.

These are teh parents from that Cinderella movie with Leonardo da Vinci and the historically inaccurate Mona Lisa in it, right? I liked them, they were cute, and I agree.

Yeah! Ever After, with Drew Barrymore
loracarol: (the spine)

Thanks! I haven't seen that movie in a long time, and I couldn't remember the title. ^^;

That's nice at all, but what is funnier than a dead baby? A dead baby in a clown costume.
loracarol: (What flash)

[personal profile] loracarol 2014-06-16 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
That's nice and all, but if you're going to randomly post dead baby jokes, you could at least try to post good ones.

Fuck you.

[personal profile] sachiko_san 2014-06-16 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
That's not the Mona Lisa, it's Head of a Woman (La Scapigliata).

(Anonymous) 2014-06-16 07:11 am (UTC)(link)
I think they're talking about the part of the movie where a thief steals Leonardo's painting and Henry chases after him to save it.

But it was all rolled up and the Mona Lisa is on wood.

Those weren't featured heavily and I didn't even notice them.

I was talking about the scene anon mentioned- the Mona Lisa can't roll up, and that scene always bothered me because of it. |D

They were cute

ITA, and they are awesome people for letting their son marry for love. Eventually, anyway.

Yeah, nothing about them really suggested they were unhappy together. They were pushing Henry to get married, but they seemed like they were doing pretty good together. I always wondered if they thought "well, our political marriage went great, it could work out well for our son?"

Also ahhhh Ever After secret! <3 This was my favorite movie as a kid and I still love it.

I don't know, Henry does have that line about how arranged marriages never made anyone in the room (which included himself and his parents) very happy. But everything else supports the theory!

(Anonymous) 2014-06-16 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
I just put it down to them bickering like old married couples do and Henry having his head up his butt.
