I had been following the Casey Kasem story for a while, and figured it was just a matter of time. RIP, my sweet radio friend, I'll always remember you on weekends listening to the Top 40 in my childhood.

I had to explain to my coworker who Casey Kasem was today. She's 22 and fresh out of college. Said he did Top 40 before Ryan Seacrest and was Shaggy. From Scooby Doo. The old cartoon. Because she was side-eying me at just "Shaggy."

Ah, man. My sister and i used to listen to his top 40 on the radio and have our cassette player *right there* so we could record favorite songs.

Casem also did Robin from the 70's version of The Super Friends. My sister got one of the DVDs of the one of the seasons for her kids has they - epically my nephews - are really into Super Heroes. So I was thinking of Casey as we were watching some of those episode.
