I'm kind of surprised about all the hate about Steven Universe tbh. I think it's cute, especially when the creator revealed that Steven is based on her little brother who has always been very supportive of her art and that the Gem characters are based on different aspects of her own personality. It's just a sweet, goofy show.

I'm kinda surprised too. Normally I'd find a character like Steven annoying and can see why people do, but I love him. I love the Crystal Gems too especially Garnet and Amethyst. I really wish we could learn more about them and Rose Quartz.

I also don't get the complaints about the art or character designs tbh. I like them.

WELL I don't like it but i'm glad people do, I do want more female lead shows to be successful.

I guess just because something is cute or well made or made for good reasons doesn't always mean its a good show, but it's just my opinion that it isnt a good show, that doesnt mean its objectively bad.
