It feels like that. It feels like a really readymade excuse, too, like "oh, Liberation didn't sell well, so no female characters for you."

People do that with every game, though. Every time a game with a female protagonist sells poorly it turns into "oh, games with female protagonists sell poorly...," even though there are so many games with male protagonists that sell terribly, too, and they never take into account marketing, game quality, etc.

And if a game with a female protagonist does well, it usually does well despite the female character, because the game is just that good that something like a female main character can be tolerated.

Yeah ... I can't HELP knowing a new main series Assassin's Creed is coming out even if I'm not in a game store during this time period - they advertise them aggressively.

Never even did hear of this one. It really can't be compared.

Might get it tho.
