Prrreeeetty much. I might have walked out the first Cap America movie with Steve/Bucky feels, but Winter Soldier had me ALL OVER Steve/Sam, and I didn't give five shits about Bucket.

It never fails- give a white guy some awesome reverb with a poc and the fandoms will find ANOTHER white guy to ship with him instead

I think you're usually right when it comes to white guy/non-white guy versus double white guy pairings, but not in this case. Steve/Bucky isn't a matter of "finding another white guy"--he's a recurring white guy, that the other white guy grew up with and was willing to die for...several times. Somewhat different.

THIS.

I am so very cool with people complaining about absurdly popular ATWG pairings in which the characters only interacted for 30 seconds in canon (Clint/Coulson, Lorne/Parrish) or, you know, never interacted in canon (MCU Steve/Tony pre-Avengers) or that are disproportionately popular while the more obvious PoC/white guy pairing languishes (MCU Steve/Tony [again] vs. Rhodey/Tony, Shawn/Lassiter vs. Shawn/Gus).

But complaining about Steve/Bucky, the relationship with the longest and arguably most intense history out of all the MCU's human relationships? Really doesn't make sense.

lmaooooooooooo @ people trying to use the white dick argument on the wrong pairings

>Bucket

I don't know why this made me laugh so much.
