Yeah, but that was kind of my point? I like his character, but I'm still aware that he made a lot of bad choices during the events of the game (e.g. blowing up the damn Chantry), and I don't see why I should try to romanticize his actions. That's a thing that can be done, right?

I'm not actively in the fandom, but I do lurk for fic, and for some reason I've come across a lot of Anders!bashing in those. I also remember reading a comment somewhere (Dragon Age wikia? Probably?) about someone wishing Anders would make an appearance in DA:I so that the player could "zero dark thirty the fucker". So yeah, pretty sure there's also a decent amount of people who don't feel like woobifying him.
