I never warmed to that character either. While I wouldn't go as far as what you said, I did find him a little too clingy and overly invested in the life of someone who was clearly disinterested in him.

Nitori is easily the named character I care the least about, but I don't understand the hate he gets. He's kinda clingy, yeah, but where are the creepiness and boundary issues?

I dunno who the character is, but in the picture he looks about ten years old, which automatically makes me sympathetic to boundary issues/clinginess/general lack of social skills.

I feel like more and more people have troubles seperating canon from fanon and are reading far too much into actual canon and are totally convinced that's what it's really like.

I also feel like people look for 'reasons' to hate a character, so it won't seem like they're hating on them for no reason and therefore either make stuff up or exagarate traits the characters have.

I do like Nitori, but I can fully understand when someone finds him annoying and clingy (and lbr his voice isn't the mot pleasant either), but borderline stalker and creep? Naaaaaaa.
