So, i'm reading both Cicero and Pliny's letters right now and it cracks me up to see How full of himself Cicero was (at least sometimes was).

I'm also really impressed with how much of a master of passive aggressive Pliny was.

Sadly, most of the people I know who'd have read this would think I'm an (stupid) ass for finding that funny or saying anything about it.

Cicero is SUCH a pompous ass. It's great. The Romans were really funny and if thinking that is wrong then I don't want to be right.

Yeah, though I'm still going "...dude, seriously?" At one of the spats he had. (The one where he bitched another guy out for not congratulating on his accomolishments during his )the guy's) triumph... When one of those included disgracing the man's brother publicly.)
