I'm sorry anon. It's an awkward situation. My friend just confessed that she still has a crush on me and I can't stop worrying that I should be handling it differently than I am.

It's a no-win situation for both parties, I guess? On one hand keep thinking that we managed to stay friends the first time this happened, so surely we can get over this one as well. But at the same time I'm afraid that no, we won't, and things will be super awkward from now on. Especially because I feel like I've been doing a piss poor job handling this.

I hope everything's going to be ok with you and your friend. It might take some time and a few awkward conversations, but it sounds like you did your best to handle the situation correctly.
