Ah, didn't know that - that's some pretty hardcore canon.

Devin Grayson should never have been anywhere near that book. It's not that there's necessarily anything wrong with having your name legally changed to be closer to that of a fictional character, but when you then manage to worm your way into writing the book about that character that's when readers should start being worried.

You ever read her official DCU novels? Riding the line, coming as close to writing sidekick-slash as they'd let her get away with. Again, fine for fanworks, not appropriate in official canon or semi-canon.

Oh fuck me, no. I almost bought a DCU novel (some Batman/Superman thing set in the 50s) then I realized I quit licensed books other than Ciaphas Cain and dropped it like a hot potato. Not spending another $15 to find out a book is terrible, thanks.
