And what's getting me, is I KNOW some of those people complaining are probably fans of shows, like, oh I dunno, Game of Thrones which gets, what, 10 episodes over the course of 2 to 3 months and then you have to WAIT for a fucking YEAR to get another 10 episodes? Or with shows like Orange is the New Black where you get the new season in ONE GO and have to wait another YEAR for the next 13 episodes?

God these people are pathetic.

I do feel for you British people though...I may not be a fan of Sherlock, but I know that hiatus had to be grinding a shit ton of gears for series 3...

People have different expectations for different things, based on the content of those things, the nature of the medium, and the customary delivery method. It's not pathetic, that is a fucking ridiculous way to describe it.

I mean, no, of course our expectations should be the same for a 90 minute long live action show with extremely high production values as for a half hour animated show, that's completely reasonable. Jesus.

We normally don't agree on much but I'm with you here. An episode every two weeks (which goes on for the whole damn year) is enough to piss people off? Boo fucking hoo. 26 episodes is still more than a lot of shows get per season

people are disappointed because the thing they like is taking longer than normal for things of that kind. there's nothing insane about being disappointed about that. it's not going to ruin anyone's life but it is not what they they would have liked.

It's the norm for anime to have an episode every week tho.
(Unless we're talking about OVAs. In the worse case it's easy to end with one or two episodes every year)
