UUUUUUGGGGGGAH! This fucking government keeps fucking us over, and it's not getting any better because they sit on their asses all day, every day instead of bargaining like they said they would! I wanna go back to school, man. I wanna have my fave teachers at my grad. I wanna have my choir breakfast, with my teacher, so I can enjoy those last few moments of the music and community we created.

But Nuuuu! They went fucking BACKWARDS in their reciprocal proposal to the BCTF, when the Teacher's Fed came WAY fucking down on wages, duration of increase, and where they wanted the resources to figure out classrooms to come from.

So, in short: Fuck you, Clark and Fassbender. Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. Because if you're not even going to amend your demands to try to reach an agreement with a collective that was trying So Damn Hard to meet you 3/4 of the way, if your idea of resolving the classroom size/composition issues is a Fact Finding Committee which will take Years to "ascertain" what teachers ALREADY FUCKING KNOW, then you don't deserve any of the concessions the BCTF put forward for you. Fuck. You.

This is about NE-GO-TI-A-TION. Not getting your damn way and insisting it's the teachers not being the Bigger Man and taking what you so *~*generously*~* offer. Fuck you. You went backwards .25%. They came down to meet you 4%, putting their offer EVEN LESS THAN 1% away from your original proposal.

Yeah, when I heard the teachers got offered a really good deal and turned it down (well the BCTF did, a lot of teachers say they would have taken it), I was like.... really? :( What if they don't get an offer like that again? I'm sure some kids love getting a few days off, but most of them are tired of being stuck in the middle.

I'm sorry you're affected by this. I hope they get their shit together.

But they didn't? The government didn't change anything from their original offer while the BCTF made HUGE concessions in an attempt to meet somewhere in the middle (frankly, to the government's benefit).
