Notes:

Sorry for the lateness!

Also, secret number one being number one was a complete coincidence. I do these things randomly! XD

8. I really hate that I never know how to shelve those things. :|

I used to get irritated at bookstores not shelving them logically -- "baaaaaw give me my junkie fix stat," etc. Then I thought about reshelving them myself, and realized I'd only know where to shelve half of them, and even if I did know what all the books were, would they be sorted by author? By chronology? By publish date?

And I've never felt bitter about the jumbled shelving of Star Wars books ever since.

A couple of friends and I reshelved the SW books into chronological order at a bookstore once. (Umm, I'm really not sure why. One of those random geeky bored days of high school I guess? It took a long time. :P) Went back a few months later, and it was all mixed up again, so we asked the lady at the store if she minded if we reshelved them. She requested that we not do that.

Turns out, they are forced to alphabetize them by author and then by title name, or something stupid like that. Even if it's a series. So apparently after we had put them in the "correct" order one of the workers had to return them to the store's logic. :\ Felt kind of guilty about that, but it's so silly... making it so the next book in a series is easy to find= better, I would think?

See, alphabetizing them by author would make sense...

... but I've never seen it done that way at a bookstore. Ever. XD

Any sort of order would be better than the jumbled mess at my bookstore... It's impossible to find the new ones without going through three shelves to find the one you don't have. But chronologically would make sense--there's even a handy guide at the beginning of every book!

I work in a library and they're all tattered so I usually guiltily throw it in somewhere and make sure they atleast look like they're in order. i have no idea how to shelve them.
