since when has yaoi ever been concerned with any sort of positive portrayals of gay males or their relationships to each other?

Um... There were six volumes of development between the two characters before they had sex? So I'd say there was a little more to the manga then the two of them having wild gay orgies.

FAKE was actually a rather decent book as far as yaoi goes. I'm just saying that if it were put on TV, I doubt it would go nearly as well as it did in the book. Writers don't seem to be able to understand the concept of homosexuals in a happy and functional relationship.
