Okay, I really don't get that. If I could be arsed, I'd read through the FAQ for you, but I suspect you'll not really care much anyway...

I'm not really getting upset. I'm just frustrated with clicking links and getting taken to things I cannot be bothered to struggle to read. That's the problem - I have to work to read this stuff. Half the time it's not even worth it, so I get used to not bothering, and then I end up feeling like I just might be missing out on something good, somewhere. But I can't summon up the effort to read one oddly formatted fic in a sweep of ten. It gets closed, I move on.

Verdana, double spacing and squared off paragraphs are not bad; they're the LJ default for a reason, as stated in the secret. By my thinking it takes work to change that, and then takes work to read the oddly formatted posts. If I was on an independent site, that would be another matter entirely. But I'm on LJ, and I expect to read things like I'm on LJ. Is that really so much to ask?

I honestly never actually post much (erm, in general but also fic wise). I might search through the FAQ later though, just to see if it's mentioned.

I do understand, though. If it was a really odd font, It can take away from the fic. Actually, I was just thinking about it and I have a sort of similar irk with layouts. If it's a weird layout, I sometimes don't feel like trying to read the fic. I prefer the very basic white background and black text for reading.

I guess this must be a common problem in your fandoms, though? That would be pretty annoying. But maybe on the bright side, they might be trying to fancy it up to cover for a bad fic?

(Also, I'm sleepy, so I hope this all makes sense)
