LJ allows you to change the font in your journal, so if someone wants to change it for whatever reason, as long as it's readable and isn't formated all wonky, no one usually cares enough to wank about it, well... usually. If you don't like it, don't read fic or entries here and/or uninstall all other fonts. Simple enough.

I'm not even sure how your "secret" is a "secret". Fanfic rants and random bitching is a whole other comm.

Yes, it's your journal that you're messing about with, so you should change it to what you're comfortable with - but when it comes to expecting others to read it, like say, when you link to a fic you've written on a community, then it's not all about you anymore. Considering the amount of people that have agreed with me in the comments here, I'd say there's quite a few people that will simply not bother to read your work - as I stated in the secret, I'm one of them.

If it's a layout coded page then that's slightly different, but to have specific formatting done in on a default LJ page seems pointless to me. It says to me that the person has put work in to make the text come up like that, and now I have to put work in to read it - I don't see why I should have to when the default for LJ is legible and better for reading on a computer screen, hence why it's been chosen to be used as the default.

Like I said, I don't read the fics formatted like that - and why should I have to go through the bother of uninstalling all other fonts to compensate for the few who've decided to go against the norm. And it's not just fonts that's the issue, it's the formatting as a whole, something uninstalling fonts won't change.

It's a secret because it's something I have previously kept quiet, but have been able to say here due to the anonymity offered by the community. The same as all the other secrets.

I'm so done with this stupidity. Times New Roman, Verdana, Tahoma, Century, they're all standard boring fonts that no one cares about.

Bad formatting = no read.

Different font = who cares. If you do care, then you need a new hobby in life, for reals.

I'm tired of this too - you asking if it's fonts or formatting I have an issue with just goes to show how much you don't seem to understand what I'm saying, and I can't be arsed trying to explain it any more when you're obviously not going to care anyway - in fact, you've already stated that you don't care, so I've been wasting my time all along. Honey, no one cares about fonts, sorry. I have more important things in life to really care about than if someone posts a fic in Times New Roman or Verdana. And really, so should you. I just love how insanely wanky and hypocritical you're being over something so outlandishly stupid. I'm not here to care about your or anyone else's petty bitching and gripes.

If you care about wasting your time so much, you might not want to be wanking in a fandom comm over your porn being posted in something other than the default LJ font.
