Well of course you prefer a superior music! Made from a superior mindset regarding a superior place. A place that looked at it's imperfections, manifested them, and murdered them so that their perfection could be achieved. There is no shame in finding your solace in the melodic doctrines of a better god. So smile.

But you guys lack oomph. Also you smell.

I tended to want to skip "the weather" - I never did, but more often than not I was not a fan.

Don't worry OP. Kevin is my favorite host.

Eh, I find most of the songs for both NV and DB to be forgettable, with a few exceptions.

I prefer Night Vale's music, but I still like Desert Bluffs. It's just...different. And it was really weird hearing it (considering the circumstances) and I hope we never hear it again. (Because of what that would mean for the story.)

However, I feel like the weather has been better as of late. Is it just me? Half the time I don't care for the songs used in the weather, but lately I've liked every one.

But what does the Arby's mean?

(Anonymous) 2014-06-20 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
Arby's is an often-mentioned location in the show.

I really like Disparition's music, but yeah, Desert Bluffs has some neat music. On the other hand, I now tense up when I hear accordians.

To each their own and all that but damn

Wow, I never liked and rapidly grew to hate the Desert Bluffs theme. Honestly, it's the smooth pop version of the Torgo theme from Manos. "Everybody! Let's arpeggiate until the end of time." I use arpeggios! A lot! And I still want to stick forks in my ears. It's that kind of bland commercial pleasantness that turns to rage-inducing sensory-deprivation madness. Each note is fine, each sequence is fine, the combination sustained leads to madness.

I do of course assume all this is intentional and salute the composer.

We live in very different headspaces, anon. We really do.
