I don't hate Ygritte or anything like that. And I appreciate her function in the story. But yeah, I was never especially moved by her death.

I agree. I thought it was something only said once, maybe twice. But then she said it again... and again... and again... and it's just not that clever lol

I liked that she always had this expression when she said it, like she obviously adored him but she was also constantly being struck the realization that he was a complete idiot. "You really are thick, aren't you?"

I don't watch or read this but I've heard this catchphrase again and again as well (often from friends) and at this point I resent her for it. Dumb maybe, but geez...

I was sick of her by the end of the first episode she was in. I don't remember hating her in the books but I absolutely loathe the show.

Same here. She's one of those characters who are completely ruined by their dumb catchphrase because they just become so, so annoying. Same with Melisandre and her "the night is dark and full of terrors".
