Are you talking about in general or what? I legitimately like Orihime as a character and yes, she has been written terribly at times and I will gladly admit that. It doesn't stop me from liking her as a character.

I apologize for my kind of kneejerk reaction. And yeah, I can see your point. I've not really come across it that often though so I can't really comment on it.

I have no idea what the Bleach fandom is like these days but go to the Naruto fandom on Tumblr and marvel at the pages and pages of fanart pretending the women in that manga are totally Strong Independent Women Who Don't Need No Man instead of sloppily-written afterthoughts in Kishimoto's Naruto/Sasuke yaoi fanfic. It's... really something.
