Nothing is worse than "the raven".

blue-haired anime characters that get referred to as "the bluenette" tho...

(Anonymous) 2014-06-22 09:59 am (UTC)(link)
Especially if they're male (which, let's face it, it's fanfic, they probably are). Not that I could forgive 'the bluenet', either. I s2g I once saw 'the pinkette', too.

Every time I see 'the raven' I just think of Poe. Why do people do that?

(Anonymous) 2014-06-22 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, what else should they use when describing a character with odd hair color? Just constantly use 'the pink haired girl' or 'the green haired boy'?

Well, 'the raven' sounds cooler and way more 'awesome' than just saying 'the dark/black haired [insert]'. It's also an 'awesome' way to refer to characters that are 'tragic', like say Sasuke Uchiha.

How about using their names?

sa

But if you do nothing but call them by their names, that gets irritating after a while.
