well she's not the only one that thinks that, but a lot of people mistake racism & pride, which totally sucks because now people think that Gackt is a racist *slaps forehead*

True. The key word there is "excessive". Pride in one's country isn't inherently bad but when it becomes excessive, then there's a problem. However, I don't think Gackt was advocating excessive pride (it might seem that way to others, but I don't really think so because it is not as though he didn't recognize Japan's flaws in the interview).
