Yes? I'm not sure what you're saying? She has a habit of stretching the truth to the point where it was hard to believe anything she said.

I suspect they were commenting on your redundant phrasing. "Exaggerate" means to overstate, so there's no reason to include the word "over." You can't under exaggerate, after all.

Okay? The way I was taught, "to exaggerate" is to stretch the truth, to "over exaggerate" is to stretch the truth to the point of absurdity. I was using it in the second meaning.
