Yeah, I used to freak out adults when I was a kid because I was so wary of eating meat. Meanwhile, my favorite vegetable was spinach.

It's pretty common for young kids to have meat aversions. My brother refused to eat red meat as a kid and it freaked my parents out for a while. He wanted corn and peas from the garden instead. He eventually grew out of it.
