I think it just proves some thing will be counter-productive. A year or two prior we had like this sleepover thing with spaghetti and his parents made him take "special veg sauce" for it while all the rest had bolognaise.

And I just think he rebelled against it. I lost contact, so not sure if he's vegetarian now.

But I think that as a parent, you can try to pass on your values, but you can't force kids, certainly after a certain age. And pushing it more might have the opposite effect.
