He looks unbelievably obese, and somewhat nerdy, with poor personal style (the ugly glasses, hair, facial hair, and grey hoodie). I suppose this is understandable if he spends too much time playing video games for YouTube. He should get out a bit more, he looks like he smells like stale indoor air and old snack foods.

I don't really understand video game playthroughs, either? Why would you just watch someone else playing a game, rather than play it yourself.

I've taken to watching Lets Plays because my life has grown too busy for me to properly play games anymore- I throw on some LPs while I'm working and can get my vidyagame fix on the cheap and timely!

Because you don't have the system it's out on, don't have the money, don't have the time, aren't familiar with the genre and will have trouble playing it, want to multitask? I like to watch RaedWulf play indie horror games because he's funny, and I don't have the energy to track these things down and play them myself anyway.

I watch Rythian do let's plays of games that I can't; the bioshock handed give me seeks vertigo, but with his playthroughs I can enjoy the plotlines and the very soothing commentary. It's win/win.

Also his reactions to Thomas Was Alone made me cry almost as much as the game itself, so there's that.
