I want to tell you go ahead and do it because the tone is significantly different from the first one (a coworker of mine who loved the first one hated this one) and it needs the viewers.

But at the same time it is a sequel to a film you hated and I don't want you to have wasted your money if you don't end up liking it.

What exactly did you not like about the first film? That way I can give you a more confident rec or not!rec.

Oh, I wouldn't pay money for it anyway. But, eeeeh, I think I hated it just because I thought it didn't live up to hype? The story was pretty rote and nothing special imo. The dragon was kind of cute, and that was about all I remember about it.
