I would probably join this if I hadn't been a dumbass and registered my s/n as my email address, which has my real name in it.

You mean your name that pops up in your friends list and all that? Because you can change that. It's just the name you use to log in with is unchangeable.

You can change it, but everyone can still see other names you've played under (unless there's some way I don't know about to prevent that?).

Just change your Steam name a bunch of times, see if that works.
