Haha, funnily enough I actually FINALLY got that diagnosis the year before last (after five years of hell and being asked by ER doctors when it was so bad I couldn't walk if I was sure I hadn't just pulled a muscle...).

The sad part was, that nurse said that about it being psychosomatic AS I'm giving her paperwork from my family doctor/rheumotologist to be put on modified scheduling (so that they couldn't schedule me more than five consecutive days because that's pretty much my limit).

So she was telling me it was in my head even while faced with evidence that it clearly wasn't. ¬.¬;

And yeah, I find physio helps a lot, as does basically just keeping myself in check, not pushing myself even if I feel guilty for not doing ~all the things~. Has your mum tried acupuncture? My phsyiotherapist said he's had people show results with that, but I'm a bit too chicken to try it. XD
