Depends on the views and how extreme they are. I used to be really close with someone until she started whining about how Chik-Fil-A was being persecuted and that churches were gonna be forced to perform gay marriage.

We haven't really spoken much since -- partly for other reasons, largely having to do with the fact that her family is creepy and cult-like and she's given in to the brainwashing.

That would bug me too, not because of the ideologies behind it, but because thinking that somehow Chik-fil-A is being bullied by people not eating their sandwiches or that the gays are going to force their way into churches indicates someone who's lost touch with reality and doesn't even know it. It's too messy dealing with someone like that.
