Isn't there a difference between "I wrote this late at night and I'm still not 100% pleased, but here you go", or "Something still feels off about this to me, but I've done what I can for this one", and "lol I wrote this drabble at 5AM it's shit"?
For me at least the two things are really different... also, why set yourself up for failure? Wait until someone actually says it's shit, and then say "yeah well, it was just a quick thing I wrote deal with it". Maybe everybody will love it! No need to be pessimistic.
