I agree with all of your positives! Especially concerning Molly and her family.

But I was glad that Malvo died. I hate when villains escape. No Country For Old Men (though I know it was based on a book) made me apprehensive about this show (even though the Coen brothers didn't write it).

I would have enjoyed Lester's death being a bit more brutal. But I can see why they didn't go with prison just because it would have been less final.

for me there are villains i want to see the heroes beat (the cowardly and slimy kind, like lester) and others i don't (more unabashedly evil like malvo). i'm glad lester died but i wouldn't have minded if malvo had escaped scot free.

lester going to jail would've echoed his movie counterpart's fate. both scenes were the last of the movie/show, and they both featured the character who thought they were free being apprehended by the police in a remote location. lester being captured would've made it a perfect echo.
but, like i said, i appreciate the symbolism, with the ice becoming more and more fragile underneath him until it finally cracked.
